Description
A few years ago I learned a technique called "painting with light". I fell in love with the process because controlling the light and where it falls on the subject matter is litterally in my hands. This image was taken in my studio. The studio needs to be dark while working. One strobe light sits behind my camera while I hold a flashlight in the other. I have my stroblight set to lightup fully so I am able to focus on the sublject. My shutter speed is set to 30 seconds. I then turn the strobe to flash only and take the piture. The strobe first lights the front of the image while I then light up my subject with the flashlight and move it around where I want the light to fall. I usually use the flashlight for the full 30 seconds. I added a textured overlay that is my own.
