Description
"Work on the Yaquina Bay Bridge began in August 1934. Two years later, on Labor Day, the bridge opened to traffic – 135 feet above sea level and at a cost of $1.3 million. Spanning 3,260 feet, with two 350-foot steel arches and a central 600-foot steel arch, the bridge was one of five designed by Conde McCullough on the Oregon Coast. The Yaquina bay Bridge is an icon and one of the the most recognized bridge in Oregon."
